Water Shut Off to Donovan and Haggin Halls After Water Main Break

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 10, 2013) — A water main break has occurred at the New Central construction site at Hilltop Drive, forcing water to be shut off at Haggin and Donovan residence halls, K-Lair restaurant and the Food Storage Center.

Representatives of university Physical Plant Division, Messer Construction and Kentucky American Water are on site. Repairs are expected to take until 6 p.m. today.

Arrangements have been confirmed for residents of Haggin and Donovan halls  to use Young Library restrooms and to shower in the Johnson Center. Towels and toiletries will be made available to these students as necessary. K-Lair will be closed through next Friday (Jan. 18).

Hilltop Drive and Rose Streets are open to traffic.
