LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 13, 2019) — Give me the Konchel family! Steve Harvey will be hosting a University of Kentucky family in an upcoming episode of "Family Feud." Tori Konchel, a UK freshman in the College of Nursing, and family will appear on the popular game show tonight (Wednesday, Feb. 13).

Tori was joined on the show by her mother and father Chris and John, sister Taylor and brother Nick. Tori hails from Bartlett, Illinois.

A longtime fan of "Family Feud," for the past year, Tori religiously checked to see when auditions would be coming to her area, knowing that her family of five would be perfect for the show. After seeing they were coming to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Tori couldn’t resist sending in an email on her family's behalf.

Tori's family laughed at her stunt, not believing they would ever hear back, but after her mom received an email from production, the family was overjoyed to learn that they had been chosen to appear on their favorite game show.

"Ever since I was young, I’ve loved watching 'Family Feud.' I would come home from school, turn on the Game Show Network and watch it. I would record episodes, pause the TV after questions and make everyone in my family answer," Tori said. "In the beginning, my family would get annoyed with how much I would watch it, but eventually we all came to love it and it became a tradition to sit down and watch it together. We even have the Family Feud board game."

"Family Feud" pits two families against each other over multiple rounds to try to guess the most popular answers to subjective questions. The first family to reach 300 points goes on to play a “Fast Money” round with the chance of winning $20,000.

"Going on 'Family Feud' was one of the craziest experiences I will ever have in my life. Not only getting the chance to be on 'Family Feud,' but also to sit in the audience during other episodes was just as memorable," Tori said. "Meeting Steve Harvey was something I will never forget. The experience was once in a lifetime, and I’m so glad to have that memory with my family for the rest of my life."

Although Tori applied for the show while still in high school, she knew she would be attending UK. Proud to be a future Wildcat, Tori and her family represented in Kentucky blue.

The Konchel's episode of "Family Feud" airs at 7:30 p.m. tonight, on the CW in Lexington.
