Event to Impact Parking in Kroger Field Blue Lot on Monday, Oct. 7
LEXINGTON, Ky (Oct. 3, 2019) — The University of Kentucky Office of the President and University Relations are hosting an event Monday, Oct. 7, that will impact parking in the Periphery (K) Blue Lot at Kroger Field.
The event is for the Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) grant, the largest grant ever awarded to UK. It will require that 150 parking spaces on the east end of the Blue Lot be reserved for attendees.
Impacted Periphery (K) permit holders should consider all of their parking options that morning, which include the following:
Commonwealth Drive Lot The Commonwealth Drive Lot is located near Greg Page Apartments, just south of the new Kentucky Proud Ballpark on the opposite side of the Alumni Drive roundabout. This 108 space parking area is served by the Green Connector bus route, which will allow students to then connect to the Blue and White routes for wider access to campus.
College Way Lots New this year, the College Way West Lot is also an option for Periphery permit holders. This 150-space lot is located on College Way and is also served by the Green Connector Route. The 300-space College Way East Lot, located immediately across the street, is an additional option, and students will be required to cross College Way to pick up the Green Route at the Motor Pool bus stop.
Wildcat Court Lots The Wildcat Court lots are also an option for Periphery permit holders, and students who park in these lots will need to walk to the College Way bus stop to board the Green Connector Route.
UK Transportation Services’ parking control officers will be stationed in the Blue Lot on Oct. 7 to advise event attendees and students of their parking options.
