UK Alumni Association Launching Directory Project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 11, 2020) — Staying connected and fostering lifelong engagement to alumni is at the heart of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association’s mission.
That is why the UK Alumni Association will launch an alumni data verification campaign, the first step in the UK Alumni Directory project. The association is partnering with a nationally recognized directory firm, Publishing Concepts Inc. (PCI), to help reach out to alumni. PCI is a trusted partner of the UK Alumni Association.
Beginning in September, alumni will receive communication from PCI letting them know how to update their educational and professional contact information. The last UK Alumni Association directory was published four years ago, and this project is expected to be completed by fall 2021.
“The UK Alumni Directory Project happens every five years and is vital to the good work carried out by the alumni association in support of the University of Kentucky," says Jill Smith, associate vice president for alumni engagement and executive director of UK Alumni Association. "We appreciate our alumni taking a few minutes to verify their information to help make this important project a success.”
Participation will ensure alumni receive relevant communication from UK and that they are invited to events in their area and other programs that may be of interest to them. While all alumni are included in the directory at no cost, alumni will have an opportunity to purchase their own print or digital directory. A portion of the proceeds from directory sales will support the UK Alumni Association.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
