LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2022) — The University of Kentucky Alumni Association invites all December 2022 graduates to take part in Grad Salute 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 19-20, in the Grand Ballroom of the Gatton Student Center.

December 2022 Commencement Ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 16, at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center.

Grad Salute is the perfect opportunity for graduates to finalize all UK Commencement needs in one location.

Representatives will be on hand to help students make final selections in the following:

  • ordering a custom cap, gown and tassel with measurements to ensure the proper fit;
  • verifying no stops or holds on records that could delay graduation;
  • obtaining career advice and discussing future employment opportunities;
  • registering for the Commencement ceremony;
  • answering questions regarding graduation;
  • receiving information to manage student loans;
  • ordering an official University of Kentucky class ring;
  • taking a complimentary headshot with a professional photographer (sitting fee waived);
  • purchasing a UK diploma frame;
  • ordering official personalized graduation announcements;
  • becoming an active member of the UK Alumni Association through a $25 gift to a fund of the student’s choosing; and
  • ordering a paver for display in Wildcat Alumni Plaza.

Students are encouraged to register for Grad Salute to allow representatives to better assist with these needs. Additionally, those who register will be eligible to win prizes.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
