LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 17, 2024) — The Apothecary, a UK Retail Pharmacy, has launched a new program to deliver prescriptions to offices on the University of Kentucky campus. The new service aims to provide a convenient and accessible way for employees to get their medications without having to leave their office.

“We understand that employees have hectic workloads and may not have the flexibility or convenience to visit one of our pharmacies in person,” said Jim Hallahan, Pharm.D., associate director of pharmacy operations. “The new prescription delivery service provides a practical solution by making it easier for them to receive their medications.”

Employees who are interested in this service can sign up here. The service is only available for those on UK’s campus. A pharmacy team member will call you to set up the delivery service. If you need to transfer prescriptions to The Apothecary, the pharmacy team member will take care of it for you. For questions about the new delivery service, please call The Apothecary at 859-562-0648.

Located on the first floor of the UK Gatton Student Center, The Apothecary is open to everyone and accepts most insurance plans. Like all UK Retail Pharmacies, The Apothecary offers the lowest prescription prices in Lexington, as well as vaccinations, over-the-counter medications, point-of-care testing and more.

With eight locations throughout Lexington – both on campus and off – UK Retail Pharmacies are committed to providing you with the best possible care and service. Visit ukpharmacy.org to see a full list of UK Retail Pharmacies locations and services. Questions? Call toll-free 833-333-UKRx (8579).
