Volunteers needed for Big Blue Move-In 2025
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 5, 2025) — As thousands of first-time, first-year students prepare to arrive on campus in August, the University of Kentucky is asking faculty, staff and returning students to help provide a warm welcome.
UK Campus Housing seeks volunteers to join the Wildcat Welcome Team for Big Blue Move-In, Aug. 17-20. Volunteers play an important role in making the move-in experience smooth, supportive and memorable for incoming students and their familes and friends.
Whether greeting new Wildcats, assisting with unloading vehicles or offering directions around campus, volunteers help create a welcoming environment during one of the most important moments in a student’s college journey.

Early move-in opportunities for UK student volunteers.
Shifts are available from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day, and volunteers are welcome to sign up for as little as a few hours each day or as much as a full day.
