UK Part-Time Job Fair connects students with local employers Sept. 9

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 8, 2025) — Looking for a flexible way to earn money, gain experience and build connections in Lexington? The University of Kentucky’s Stuckert Career Center, housed in the Office for Student Success, and UK Student Employment, will host the annual Part-Time Job Fair 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Gatton Student Center atrium.
The fair brings dozens of local employers to campus, offering students the chance to explore a wide range of part-time positions in just one afternoon. Many of the employers understand the demands of college life and are ready to discuss flexible schedules that work around classes. Beyond earning a paycheck, these jobs provide valuable experience and connections that can open doors in Lexington and beyond.
Students are encouraged to prepare ahead of time by reviewing the list of attending employers on Handshake. Dressing in business casual attire and practicing a brief introduction can make a strong first impression. To feel even more confident, students can schedule an appointment with a career advisor at the Stuckert Career Center for a resume review and help refining their elevator pitch.
The Part-Time Job Fair is just one of the many ways the Stuckert Career Center supports students throughout their respective academic journeys. From career fairs and on-campus interview spaces to one-on-one advising, the center helps students explore majors, develop career paths and connect with meaningful opportunities through Handshake.
Students can register online for the event on Handshake. Questions may be directed to hireblue@uky.edu.
