LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 23, 2026) — Priority Registration for Summer and Fall 2026 classes at the University of Kentucky begins soon, and a little preparation now can make all the difference when the registration window opens.

Whether you are mapping out summer plans or looking ahead to fall, there are three steps you can take today to avoid last-minute stress and help secure the schedule you want.

  1. Verify your registration window. Students can verify when their registration window officially opens at go.uky.edu/RegisWindow. Once you know your time, add it to your calendar or set a reminder. Being ready to log in as soon as your window opens can increase your chances of getting into high-demand courses.
  2. Review your account for holds. Registration holds can prevent you from enrolling in classes. Before your window opens, check for any holds at go.uky.edu/AcctHold. If you see one, take care of it as soon as possible so it doesn’t delay your registration.
  3. Meet with your academic advisor. If you have an advising hold, you will need to meet with your academic advisor before registering. Even if you don’t have a hold, connecting with your advisor is a helpful way to confirm you are on track toward graduation. Students can schedule an appointment at go.uky.edu/BookAdvisorAppt.

Beyond those first steps, it is also a good idea to start planning ahead. Review the Course Catalog to explore options for the upcoming terms. The Degree Completion Percentage tool can also help you track your academic progress and see how completed and planned courses align with your graduation goals.

Students with questions can contact the Office of the University Registrar at 859-257-7173, email registration@uky.edu or visit registrar.uky.edu/registration for more information.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
