Campus updates for Summer 2026
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 27, 2026) — With the end of the spring semester and the start of summer break approaching, life will temporarily look different for a lot of students — some are preparing to leave Lexington, while others are planning to stay on campus. Several campus facilities and services will have adjusted hours of operation to accommodate those who stay here for the summer. Plan accordingly by checking these updated schedules:
- UK Housing: Summer housing is available for students who need to stay on campus between the spring and fall semesters. Learn more here.
- UK Libraries: Some of the campus libraries will remain open during summer break. Find the list of libraries and their updated hours here.
- Campus Recreation: Fitness centers will have adjusted hours for Summer 2026, including group fitness classes. View updated schedules here. Another option is Campus Recreation Virtual, which allows students to stay active anytime, anywhere. Learn more about how to enroll here.

- BetterMynd: BetterMynd offers UK students free teletherapy sessions with licensed mental health counselors, no matter the time or the place. Register for services here.
