UK HR Work-Life to host Parents Resource Fair Sept. 2

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 26, 2026) – University of Kentucky employees who are parents, guardians and caretakers are invited to attend UK Human Resources Work-Life Parents Resource Fair. This event offers a time to connect with organizations that offer parenting and childcare-related resources to help children excel.
“Throughout a child’s life, they will need a variety of support and opportunities to grow and develop,” said Azetta Beatty, UK HR Work-Life benefits manager. “We are offering this event to save our employees time by bringing resources to one event.”
The Parents Resource Fair is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in Gatton Student Center Ballroom C. The event will give UK employees the opportunity to connect with child-friendly resources for school-age children regarding:
- Academic and mental health support
- After school programs
- Camps (fall, spring, summer, no school)
- Extracurricular activities
- Family support
“I find this event to be extremely beneficial and helpful,” said Kristina Morgan, an academic administrator in the UK Department of Biology and a member of the UK Working Parents Network leadership team. “There are a variety of vendors that attend to provide information not only about extracurricular activities, but also for services such as tutoring, seasonal camps, family support and after school programs. Several of these vendors also offer a UK discount as well, which is a big plus for our family.”
The event will also feature a special “Stop the Bleed” demonstration from Safe Kids Fayette County, a childhood injury prevention program led by Golisano Children’s at UK. Safe Kids will also offer a hands-on car seat safety demonstration to teach parents how to properly install all types of car seats.
Although registration is not required, attendees are asked to register for the fair on the HR website to make check in quick and easy. Registration is available online.
Employees can check out details about each resource on the website hr.uky.edu/work-life-and-well-being/working-parents/family-resources. Some of the vendors are attending the fair in-person, and others are only listed on the website. Please review the listings carefully before attending the fair.
Anthem will have a representative available to answer questions about your Anthem benefits such as health insurance, WINfertility, Critical Care and more.
