Sutjiadi/Adachi Earn Bid to UTSA/ITA Indoor Championships

ResultsPACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Kentucky’s No. 1-ranked duo of Aldila Sutjiadi and Mami Adachi defeated Oklahoma State’s Katarina Adamovic and Vladica Babic in the consolation doubles final of the ITA All-American Championships on Sunday afternoon, 8-3.With Sutjiadi and Adachi’s win over the Cowgirls, the UK pair secured an automatic bid to the UTSA/ITA Intercollegiate Indoor Championships for the second consecutive season.Last season, the duo advanced to the title match, but fell to North Carolina’s Haley Carter/Whitney Kay in a tiebreak, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0(6).Hosted by Columbia University, the Indoor Championships will be held Nov. 3-6 at the Billie Jean National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
