Information Technology Services Launches New Website

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 8, 2017) — University of Kentucky Information Technology Services (ITS) recently announced the launch of its new website: www.uky.edu/its. Features include a clean and cohesive design with simplified content and navigation.

“Our goal is to give our customers the most user friendly experience possible and to make it easy for them to find help when they need it,” Chief Information Officer Brian Nichols said.

In addition to the overhauled content and presentation of the site, customers can easily navigate the main menu which is organized to reflect the new ITS organizational structure. The IT Service Desk functions as the first line of communication with customers, and “Get Tech Help” is highlighted on the homepage for quick links to assistance. “How May We Help You” is located in the right hand drop down menu, featuring access to Canvas, student hardware and software guidelines, spam reporting and other sought after information.

Special features include a section for the Featured Customers of ITS and The People of ITS. Biweekly customer highlights include a student, staff or faculty member and how they utilize ITS. The weekly edition of The People of ITS highlights an employee, their area of service and outlines their collaborative efforts with areas across campus. Additionally, a consolidated calendar has been added that features dates, times and locations of scheduled maintenance, outages and upgrades; trainings; events; and workshops. To check out what's happening with ITS on campus and online click here.
