Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Hosting Open House This Friday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 1, 2017) — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Kentucky will host a fall open house in Lexington on Friday, Aug. 4.
The open house is from 10 a.m.–noon at Consolidated Baptist Church, located at 1625 Russell Cave Rd. in Lexington.
The OLLI at UK offers educational and enrichment courses, programs and events for dynamic lifelong learners ages 50 and older who are continually searching for exciting topics and exploring new opportunities in learning!
The Lexington open house is a chance for prospective and current members to learn about the many courses, events, shared interest groups, Donovan Forums, socials and more offered this fall.
This event will also allow attendees to talk with fall instructors and facilitators, pick up a 2017 Fall Catalog and learn how to register for OLLI. Refreshments will be provided.
Fall semester courses include Explosions of Joy: Festivals of India; Dangerous Days: From Articles of Confederation to United States Constitution; Mountain Dulcimer for Beginners; Geology Rocks! Exploring Oceans, Seas & Lakes; and many more.
Annual OLLI membership is $25 and is good through July 2018. Registration for classes is an additional fee; most classes are $25.
Registration for courses will open in four phases beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8.
The open house is free and the public is invited to attend.
