UK Taking Donations for Students Impacted by Irma

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2017) — As Irma, one of the most powerful storms ever recorded, continues lashing Florida and heads into Georgia, the University of Kentucky is taking donations through its Emergency Assistance and Relief Fund to support Wildcats impacted by the storm.

The newly established fund provides support to students facing a financial emergency or catastrophic events – such as Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey –  which may prevent them from continuing their education. The fund also will support volunteer humanitarian and outreach work by students, faculty and staff who want to work in areas affected by natural disasters and other catastrophic events.

To support students and humanitarian outreach efforts, make a donation to the Emergency Assistance and Relief Fund.
