Health & Wellness Events Set for October

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 13, 2011) -- While the Fall Challenge got under way last week with the Start! Kickoff Walk, University of Kentucky employees can still register for the 10-week Fall Challenge as an individual or as a team of three to five members. The deadline to register is 8 a.m. Oct. 17. The team with the highest average minutes per participant wins a team prize. Individuals who successfully complete the challenge will also receive a great prize. WOW Health Screening

Wellness On Wheels (WOW) is a free mobile health screening. A 20-minute appointment includes tests for cholesterol (fasting optional), triglycerides and glucose, height, weight, blood pressure, body fat percentage, and waist circumference. The expert staff will be on-hand for a review of the test results. 8 a.m.-noon Oct. 20, 206 Student Center. Free. Getting Started with Weightlifting

Reality-based Weight Loss
