Employees Invited to a UK Fun Night

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2010) – The Office of the President has announced Fun Night, a new a special event for all University of Kentucky employees.

UK Fun Night is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, following the traditional Staff Appreciation Day activities, which will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 19 at the Student Center. Both events are being coordinated by members of the Staff Senate and volunteers representing many departments of the campus community.

"The well-being of university employees has always been and will always remain one of my highest priorities," said UK President Lee T. The evening event being planned will enable many more employees and their families to enjoy a relaxing Fun Night on campus. I am looking forward to enjoying an evening out with my UK family, and I hope you are, too."

Activities will include musical acts from UK’s own pool of talented individuals, carnival rides, inflatable attractions, special surprise guest appearances, complimentary food and more. Fun Night will take place in the Student Center parking lot adjacent to Stoll Field.

Employees are welcome to bring their families to enjoy a spring evening on campus. Information on the event may be obtained by contacting the SAD Commission that is organizing the event at http://www.uky.edu/Staff/Senate/about/fun/0910/index.htm. Visit UKNow for future updates.
