Faculty and Staff Asked to Nominate Students for UK Leadership Summit
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 17, 2018) — The University of Kentucky Office of Student Organizations and Activities is reviving the UK Leadership Summit and is calling for nominations from faculty and staff.
The UK Leadership Summit brings together the top 100 student leaders from across campus for a yearlong program that focuses on bringing positive change to campus. The selected leaders participate in a three-day fall retreat as well as monthly forums throughout the academic year to address student and campus issues. These forums allow student leaders to collaborate with university administrators to initiate change.
Each of the 100 student leaders must be nominated by a faculty or staff member of the university. Each nominee should create positive change, influence others, and make things happen on campus, in the classroom or within an organization. Nominees must be a sophomore, junior or senior for the 2018-2019 school year.
To nominate a student please fill out this OrgSync form. You will need the students first and last name, email address, phone number and a short description of why you believe the student should be selected to serve on the Leadership Summit. Nominations are due 5 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018.
