Summer Camps Fair Coming March 6

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 1, 2019) — The Human Resources Work-Life team at University of Kentucky wants to make your search for summer children’s activities easier.

UK employees, retirees and their spouses are invited to the Summer Camps Fair on Wednesday, March 6. The fair is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in Ballroom C at the Gatton Student Center.

Azetta Beatty, manager of the UK Human Resources Office of Work-Life, understands the need for this opportunity for families in the UK community. “Every summer parents of school-age children have to figure out summer child care. We want to help address this concern. Parents are encouraged to drop in and connect with camps to help them plan their children’s activities.”

Online registration is available. Anyone who completes registration will receive a digital copy of the event brochure with listings and contact information for all the camps.

Representatives from more than 40 summer camps in Fayette and surrounding counties will be on hand to answer questions. Many camps offer UK employee discounts or pre-registration for those who attend the fair.
