LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 6, 2019)  Voting for University of Kentucky Staff Senate and the UK Women’s Forum is open now through 5 p.m. Friday, May 24.

Candidates for Staff Senate are running for three-year terms beginning July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2022. Voting for Staff Senate is open to all UK staff who are 0.50 time equivalent or greater.

Candidates for the Women’s Forum are running for two-year terms beginning June 18, 2019, at the all-day Women’s Forum board retreat. Voting for Women’s Forum is open to all regular staff and faculty who are 0.75 equivalent or greater. University faculty and staff interested in becoming a general member of the UK Women’s forum can access membership information here.

Eligible staff can vote online here. Voters will be prompted to login using their linkblue ID and password and then directed to the appropriate voting site. There will also be a voting station available during UK Appreciation Day on May 23, at Kroger Field.

The Staff Senate is divided into four sectors — President, Provost, Executive Vice President for Health Affairs, and Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration — which are determined by the university’s organizational chart. Those who login to vote will be automatically directed to their designated voting sector.

The Staff Senate also invites all university staff to participate in an open Q&A session with staff representative to the Board of Trustees candidate David Melanson. Melanson will answer questions regarding his second term during the Staff Senate meeting at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in the William T.
