Communications Professor Featured on CBS '60 Minutes'
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 4, 2010) - Alan DeSantis, a professor of communication in the University of Kentucky College of Communications and Information Studies, was recently featured on CBS' "60 Minutes" for an exclusive interview on "neuro-enhancers," specifically the stimulant Adderall, and its growing illegal use on college campuses around the nation.
DeSantis has done extensive research on students attempting to boost their "brain power" by taking prescription drugs like Adderall that are intended to treat attention deficit disorders.
DeSantis, along with eight students who agreed to participate, were all interviewed by CBS correspondent Katie Couric on the topic.
