6 Things To Do in Your Final Semester
Following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendation that no large events be scheduled over the next eight weeks, the University of Kentucky has postponed spring Commencement to ensure the safety of our students and their families, as well as our staff and faculty who participate.
However, it does not change the semester completion date for our students, nor does it affect the timeline for students earning their degrees
Here are six things to make sure you do before the end of the semester.
- Don’t forget to complete a degree application for each degree/certificate through myUK. Under myRecords, click “apply for a degree.”
- Connect with the UK Alumni Association for all the perks of staying connected, informed and involved with all things UK.
- Also register to participate in the Virtual Networking event hosted by Alumni Career Services to chat with fellow alumni, share experiences, exchange career tips and build your professional network – all online
- Connect with UK Career Services for career planning support. In response to labor market challenges and uncertainties resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, UK is extending career services support to 2019-20 graduates for a minimum of 12 months following graduation.
- Make sure you are up to date on the changes to Spring 2020 Commencement including rescheduling, purchasing souvenir regalia, Commencement speakers and when you will receive your degree.
- Take five minutes and complete UK's First-Destination Questionnaire. Your feedback on this questionnaire is important, even if you're still working through your career plans.
