Get Prepared for Pedalpalooza!
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 21, 2019)— Mark your calendars for Pedalpalooza, University of Kentucky Transportation Services’ free annual bicycling event, set for Sunday, Aug. 25. This year, Pedalpalooza will be held from 1-3 p.m. in the Gatton Student Center parking lot.
Fun and games are guaranteed, plus the opportunity to learn practical safety, signaling and signage tips and become familiar with using bus bicycle racks. Create your own pedal-powered fruit smoothie and pick up some free swag, including bicycle helmets and bike bells, while they last.
Plus, complete three of the following on-site challenges for the chance to win an Apple watch!
- Slow Race;
- Hand Signals;
- Bike Trivia;
- Loading a Bike on a Bus; and
- Locking Up.
