LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 17, 2019) — Next week the University of Kentucky will welcome more than 200 employers to campus for the hireblue Fall Career Fairs, taking place from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, in the Gatton Student Center ballrooms.

The hireblue Fall Career Fairs offer students an important opportunity to network and connect with employers representing a wide diversity of industries. Participating employers will range from Fortune 500 companies and large regional organizations to government agencies and nonprofit and service organizations.

Employers are interested in connecting with students from all academic majors, and they’re eager to share information with students about internships, co-ops and job opportunities, so students from all class years are encouraged to consider attending.

Ray Clere, the director of UK’s Stuckert Career Center says, “In recent years, employers have placed increased emphasis on fall semester student recruitment for internships, co-ops and full-time positions.  Our message to students is, don’t miss this opportunity to connect with employers who are spending the day on our campus. It’s important to have career options, and career fairs are one of the best places to identify opportunities and make networking connections.”

No advance registration is required to attend the hireblue Fall Career Fairs, but students are encouraged to wear business-professional attire and to bring multiple copies of their résumé/CV.  The hireblue Fall Career Fairs are a partnership between Engineering Career Development, the Graham Career Management Office in the Gatton College of Business and Economics and the Stuckert Career Center.

Students are encouraged to review the list of employers attending the career fairs using UK’s Handshake career management platform and/or the UK Career Fair Plus app — available for free through the Apple and Android app stores.
