LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 5, 2021)  Students who need to park on the University of Kentucky campus this summer can purchase a summer parking permit beginning on Monday, May 10.

The permits will be available at the UK Transportation Services customer service center, located at 721 Press Ave., or by calling 859-257-5757. They cost $10 per week and are available for any number of weeks.

UK’s parking lots and structures will be on control during the summer session from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, Monday, May 17, through Friday, Aug. 13.

Parking is generally more plentiful on campus during the summer, with additional options available for any valid UK permit. Summer permits authorize students to park in most student lots, as well as Cornerstone Garage (PS #5), the Scott Street area lots and the Sports Center area lots. Please see the summer parking map for complete details.

In addition, portions of the Rose Street Garage (PS #2) and the Sports Center Garage (PS #7) will also be open for any valid permit. Rose Street Garage levels 1-2 will be restricted to E2 and R2 core permits, but the upper levels will be open for any valid permit. Likewise, level 3 of the Sports Center Garage will be open for any valid permit.

Most employee intermediate lots will revert to any valid permit after 3:30 p.m. weekdays, with the exception of the Warren Court and Columbia Avenue West lots, which are controlled for E permits through 5 p.m.

Some lots remain on control for specific permits 24 hours a day, seven days a week. These include employee reserved (R) lots, the Nutter Center Lot, Memorial Coliseum residential areas (R17 and R18), the Football Training Center Core Lot, and Seminary area residential lots (R29 and R30).

Please note that even when lots are not controlled for permits, they are still monitored for other parking violations including, but not limited to, parking in fire lanes, parking on yellow lines, and unauthorized parking in ADA-accessible areas.

If you have questions or need more information, please call the UK Transportation Services office at 859-257-5757 or email UK Transportation Services. Regular office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
