Creative Filming Club Presents Psychological Thriller
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 6, 2017) — Join the University of Kentucky Creative Filming Club as they present "What Are Friends For?" to the campus community on Saturday, April 8, and Friday, April 14.
"What Are Friends For?" is a psychological thriller about confronting personal demons and finding light in dark places. The short film conveys the story of a student's internal struggle with depression.
The Creative Filming Club created "What Are Friends For?" in 2016. They now are excited to share their creation with the UK community. Those interested in attending have two chances to see the short film on campus. The first showing will take place 8 p.m. Saturday, April 8, in Memorial Hall. The second will take place 7 p.m. Friday, April 14, in Holmes Hall.
"This film is an emotionally resonant story about something we will experience or have already experienced growing up," said Creative Filming Club Co-President Max Legaspi.
The Creative Filming Club (CFC) is an informal club that supports creativity, fun and friendship through film. Club activities include small group filming contests, re-creation of short stories through film, movie and documentary making, and film viewing nights. All skill levels and interests are welcome.
