DanceBlue Says 'Thank You' to Supporters
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 24, 2017) — A 24-hour dance marathon, 365 days of work, 954 dancers on the floor, a new $1.6 million clinic — and it all happens with one mission in mind, “For the Kids.” As final preparations for DanceBlue 2017 are underway, DanceBlue students reflect on how the organization’s event grew to where it is now.
DanceBlue has grown thanks to the support of our donors.
Kentucky has come together and showed tremendous support and played an important role in spreading awareness for childhood cancer. That support is indirectly impacting the lives of children in the DanceBlue Clinic. Donors, parents of dancers, local businesses and corporations, University of Kentucky alumni, faculty/staff and schools across the state are impacted through the priceless support of donors. A "thank you" simply is not enough.
DanceBlue was founded on the principle that every decision made and action should benefit the kids in the DanceBlue Clinic. Their mantra, “For the Kids,” will always be the focus and inspiration. Keeping the kids safe and providing them with outstanding care, amazing facilities and the best treatment in the clinic is the goal. Each year, for 24 hours, DanceBlue focuses on celebrating the kids; celebrating their achievements, families, birthdays, talents and courageous medical battles. They are what the annual 24-hour dance marathon is all about. The organization thanks the donors who have joined in the fight.
