LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 18, 2017) — University of Kentucky's Beyond the Blue presents The New York Times bestselling author and To Write Love on Her Arms founder Jamie Tworkowski tonight (Tuesday) at 8 p.m., in the Jacobs Science Building Room 121. Join as they explore topics surrounding pain, hope, community and mental health.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the event begins at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Beyond the Blue helps students take a stand against poverty on a global and local scale by promoting glocal empowerment through a variety of events, programs and initiatives to improve the lives of those most in need.
Beyond the Blue is a program housed in the UK Center for Community Outreach (CCO). The CCO seeks to serve, connect and unite the University of Kentucky with the surrounding community in collaborative efforts to promote lifelong community service.
