John Mulaney Announced as Spring Comedian

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 13, 2017) — Student Activities Board is excited to announce John Mulaney as this year's spring comedian! The event will begin 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the Singletary Center for the Arts.

John Mulaney is an Emmy-winning writer and comedian. He has recently released his third stand-up program on Netflix titled “The Comeback Kid,” which AV Club called “his best hour of his career.” He started in comedy in New York’s East Village hosting “The Oh Hello Show” alongside Nick Kroll, where he is still starring. In 2008, he started working with “Saturday Night Live.”

“Having a comedian on campus is always a sure thing to bring people together,” said Libby Langlois, director of Pop Culture. “I always enjoy hearing everyone start laughing at certain jokes and seeing our campus forget about their worries or stress for a night and just have fun. I'm excited to see what John Mulaney has in store for us and I honestly can't wait to start laughing.”

Tickets are $10 for students beginning today (Friday), Jan. 13, and $20 for the general public beginning Friday, Jan. 20. They can be purchased at the Singletary Center ticket office or at http://scfatickets.com. Additional ticketing fees apply. Students are permitted to purchase up to four tickets with four valid student IDs. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the event will begin at 8 p.m.
