LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 20, 2009) – UK's Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and Phi Kappa Psi fraternity are bringing Kelley James to campus for a concert benefiting the Lexington Humane Society. James will bring his "Fraternity Tour" to UK from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Seay Auditorium in the Agriculture North Building on UK's campus. Admission is $3.

A rising star, James has played with heavy-hitters Sara Bareilles, Tyrone Wells, Kate Voegele and hit-makers T-Pain and Lil Jon. As a headliner, he consistently packs Los Angeles' most legendary venues, including the El Rey, Roxy, Key Club and Avalon. Kelley's style is a mix of singer-songwriter pop, in the vein of Jack Johnson and Maroon 5, with hip-hop sensibilities.

Opening for James is Danville, Ky.'s own Outletdown. The group released its first demos in June, and have been playing shows throughout Central Kentucky.
