PTS Offers Spring Semester K, Evening Permits
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 7, 2015) — Starting today, Dec. 7 at noon, University of Kentucky Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) will offer student spring semester permits for sale on the PTS website, www.uky.edu/pts.
UK and Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) students seeking K and evening permits for the 2016 spring semester may apply online at www.uky.edu/pts. In addition to K and evening permits, PTS will also accept applications for R6, R8 and R16 permits for eligible residents at this time.
The cut-off date for online permit application is Friday, Jan. 8, 2016. Students may also purchase permits in person at the PTS office, located in the Press Avenue Garage, at the corner of Press and Virginia Avenues, starting on Dec. 7.
All outstanding parking citations must be paid before an application is accepted. Citations may be paid online at www.uky.edu/pts/online-services_pay-a-citation.
The K lots at Commonwealth Stadium will not be controlled for permits during the semester break, beginning Saturday, Dec. 19. The K lots will return to normal control Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016. For a list of dates when other lots resume control, visit the Spring Permits Calendar.
Eligible students who do not have a parking permit or who want to upgrade from a K permit may submit a lottery request online for C and R permits through the Parking Account Manager. Eligibility criteria must be met to purchase the desired permit. Drawings are typically held two to three weeks after the beginning of the semester; notification is sent to lottery winners via email.
New students are encouraged to visit the New Student Parking Information page for maps, frequently asked questions and more.
Evening permits are $68, while all other student spring semester permits are $136.
