Drop It Like It’s Legacy Week Ping-Pong Style

of

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 21, 2015)  Upholding campus traditions, the Student Activities Board’s Traditions Committee will be dropping 1,000 ping-pong balls from the top of the Patterson Office Tower. This annual staple will occur between classes at exactly 11:55 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, April 22, with prizes to follow.

Each ping-pong ball will correlate to a prize through color association. After the exciting escapade, students who snatched up ping-pong balls will go to the SAB offices to claim their prizes. This event symbolically marks the end of another academic year while spreading buzz and relief among the students.

“The Ping Pong Ball Drop event is a great way for SAB to connect with multiple students at once,” Zoe Pittman, director of the Traditions Committee, said. “It looks so cool to see all of the ping-pong balls drop from the top of POT to the excited students below.”

SAB brings more than 100 entertaining educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff, and the greater Lexington community.
