LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 30, 2011) – Best-selling author, professional speaker and widely read syndicated advice columnist Harlan Cohen will be speaking on the ins and outs of college life at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Memorial Hall Amphitheater; rain location is Memorial Hall. This event is free and sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Harlan Cohen is the best-selling author of "The Naked Roommate" and hilarious speaker who entertains as he speaks about everything you need to know about college’s tricky issues. Cohen tackles the topics of residence halls, student organizations, friendships, dating, drugs, money and making it through your classes alive.

Cohen is a contributor to "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul III" and has been featured as an expert offering advice in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal Classroom Edition, Seventeen, Psychology Today and hundreds of other publications.  He is a popular speaker, having visited over 300 college campuses to lecture on a variety of topics.

The Student Activities Board brings more than 100 events to the University of Kentucky annually that enhance the college experience by providing students, other members of the campus and the Lexington community with entertaining, educational or enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends.
