The Lumineers to Headline SAB’s Fall Concert Tonight

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 11, 2013) — The Student Activities Board will host the The Lumineers as the Fall Concert artist tonight at 8 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum. Tickets are still available for students and the general public.

Two-time Grammy Award nominees The Lumineers climbed the charts with the release of their hit “Ho Hey.” The band’s indie-folk and Americana anthems provide a diverse sound and commercial appeal, with songs like “Stubborn Love” and “Submarines” receiving radio airplay. Their self-titled album become the highest charting independent label album in the history of the charts. The band is currently touring Europe and the US, and recently released a deluxe edition of their debut album.

“Students have been incredibly excited for this show, and we’re just as excited,” said Adam Carrico, SAB director of concerts. “The Lumineers are sure to deliver a fantastic performance at the Fall Concert.”

Special guest Nathaniel Rateliff will open the show. Tickets are still available for students and the general public. Student tickets can be purchased for $15 with a valid UK ID in the Student Involvement Ticket Center, located at 253 Student Center. General public tickets can be purchased for $30 at both the Student Involvement Ticket Center and ticketmaster.com. Tickets for The Lumineers will also be sold at the Joe Craft Ticket Office the night of the show beginning at 7 p.m. 

SAB brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff, and the greater Lexington community.
