Nick Offerman Announced as SAB’s 2016 Spring Comedian

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 7, 2016)  The Student Activities Board is hosting Nick Offerman as the 2016 spring comedian performing 8 p.m., April 1, in the Singletary Center for the Arts.

Nick Offerman, American actor, writer, humorist and carpenter, is widely known for his breakout role as Ron Swanson in the acclaimed NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation," for which he received the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy. In addition to acting, Offerman is also a professional boat builder and wood craftsman.

“I'm more than excited to announce this year's spring comedian as Nick Offerman,” stated Mark Taylor Jr., SAB director of pop culture. “Nick’s show will definitely keep fans on the edge of their seats. I hope everyone that attends enjoys the show and leaves with some memorable 'hair-larious' jokes.”

Tickets are $10 for students beginning Wednesday, March 9, and $20 for general public beginning March 16. They can be purchased at the Singletary Center ticket office or at www,scfatickets.com. Additional ticketing fees apply. Students are permitted to purchase up to four tickets with four valid student IDs. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the event will begin at 8 p.m.
