LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 8, 2024) — Finals are quickly approaching and University of Kentucky students are putting their best academic foot forward to conclude the Spring 2024 semester.

Get ready to ace your finals with these four tips.

1. Review your final exam schedule. Exams are scheduled based on the class meeting time and may be scheduled at a different time than when your class regularly meets.

2. Take advantage of Transformative Learning’s multiple resources. As a one-stop shop, TL offers:

  • Peer Tutoring for most 100 and 200-level math, science and business courses;
  • Integrated Success Coaching, which can help you with test-taking strategies and study tips;
  • Peer-led group study sessions through Supplemental Instruction; and
  • Presentation U offers free peer tutoring for communication and composition assignments in any form for any course, including research papers, essays, lab reports, presentations, infographics, ePortfolios and iPad related projects.

Don’t forget these free academic resources are also available.

3. Reserve a study room or stop by The Study at one of their three locations starting at 9 a.m. where students are welcome to utilize the tutoring floor to study between classes or before tutors arrive at 2 p.m.

4. Remember to visit your professor’s office hours to have any last-minute questions answered. You can find your professor’s office hours in your class syllabus.
