LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2026) Valentine’s Day is about expressing love for those you admire, including yourself. Whether you’re spending this season with a significant other or friends, you’re solo or if it’s complicated, there are plenty of ways to recognize the holiday.

Celebrate love all week with these Valentine’s Day-themed events happening around campus:

  • Heels & Healing: A Galentine’s Service Night — Visit the Cats Den to make handmade cards for local nursing home residents. Bring a friend (or make one while you’re there), and enjoy free snacks while spreading love to those who might need it most.

  • Valentine’s Indoor Picnic — Go to Ballroom AB in the Gatton Student Center to watch “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” enjoy free food and take home a free blanket while supplies last.

  • Valentine’s Day in the Center — Stop by the Center for Student Involvement to enjoy free Valentine’s Day treats and crafts. This event is UK Invests eligible.

  • Mocktail Monday: Mocktail Mingle — Stop by the Learning Bar for a free Valentine’s mocktail! You can gain knowledge on alcohol risk reduction, mingle with friends and earn UK Invests money for doing it.

  • UK School of Music: “That’s Amore!” — Listen to the UK Treble Choir, UK Choristers and a cappella groups Paws and Listen and Blue Note perform music centered around love, connection and joy. Students can receive one free ticket with their student ID at the SCFA Ticket Office beginning 24 hours before the concert.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
