LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 3, 2024) — Are you a University of Kentucky student looking for a part-time job?

This year’s Part-Time Job Fair, hosted by the UK Stuckert Career Center and UK Human Resources Student Employment, will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Sept. 10, at the Gatton Student Center Social Staircase. Students can meet employers from on and off campus who want to hire students and are willing to work with your schedule. All UK students are invited and encouraged to participate.

Student-friendly employers who are eager to hire will be set up and ready to talk about their part-time job opportunities. Various industries will be represented at the fair. Employers attending include Central Bank Center, the Manchester Hotel, Drake’s and many more.

Here are three things you can do to prepare:

  1. Browse the employer list via Career Fair Plus and see all the employers who will attend the fair.
  2. Visit the Stuckert Career Center for a resume review and to practice elevator pitches.
  3. Bring multiple copies of resumes.

Students can register for the event via Handshake. Registration is not required but encouraged.

The Part-time Job Fair is a UK Invests qualifying event. By attending and checking in, you can earn money for your account. Students who haven’t opened a UK Invests account can get started today at go.uky.edu/freemoney.

The Stuckert Career Center is housed in the UK Office for Student Success.
