LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 23, 2023) — The University of Kentucky Student Government Association, in collaboration with WKYT, is hosting a Kentucky Gubernatorial Debate Watch Party 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Room 114 of the Jacobs Science Building.

The debate will be broadcast live from the WKYT studio. By joining the watch party and tuning in, students can actively participate in the democratic process, ensuring that their voices are heard and they contribute to shaping the future of our community and our Commonwealth.

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Gov. Andy Beshear will face off in one of the final debates before the general election on Nov. 7.  These debates provide a platform for candidates to articulate their positions on key issues, offering insights into their policy proposals and overall vision for the state. UK students who navigate a complex landscape of student loans, education policies and job prospects will have the opportunity to understand where candidates stand on these important issues.
