Spring 2024 key dates for students
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 11, 2023) — Spring Semester will be here before you know it. To prepare, below are key dates you should be aware of.
January
- Jan. 6, 2024: Residence halls closed over break will reopen at noon
- Jan. 8, 2024: Classes begin
- Jan. 12, 2024: Last day to add a class
- Jan. 15, 2024: Academic Holiday — Martin Luther King Jr. Day (no classes)
February
- Feb. 24, 2024: Last day to request Break Housing for Spring Break
- Feb. 28, 2024: Returner cancellation deadline for 2024-25 Housing and Dining application (penalty fees begin)
March
- March 9, 2024: Residence halls closed over break will close 10 a.m.
- March 11-16, 2024: Academic Holiday — Spring Break (no classes)
- March 17, 2024: Residence halls closed for Spring Break reopen at noon
April
- April 1, 2024: Degree Application Deadline
- April 24, 2024: Last day of classes
- April 25-26, 2024: Reading days
- April 29-May 2, 2024: Final exams
May
- May 3-4, 2024: Commencement
- May 4, 2024: Residence halls close at noon
