Spring 2025 key dates for students
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 16, 2024) — The Spring 2025 semester will be here before you know it. To prepare, below are key dates students should be aware of.
January
- Jan. 11: Residence halls closed over break will reopen at noon
- Jan. 13: Classes begin
- Jan. 17: Last day to add a class
- Jan. 20: Academic holiday - Martin Luther King Jr. Day (no classes)
- Jan. 25: Last day to downgrade a meal plan
February
- Feb. 28: Returner cancellation deadline for 2025-26 housing and dining application (penalty fees begin)
March
- March 15: Residence halls closed over break will close at 10 a.m.
- March 17-22: Academic holiday - Spring Break (no classes)
- March 23: Residence halls closed for Spring Break reopen at noon
- March 31-April 22: Priority registration for Summer sessions and Fall 2025
April
- April 1: Degree application deadline
- April 30: Last day of classes
May
- May 1-2: Reading days
- May 5-8: Final exams
- May 9-10: Commencement
- May 10: Residence halls close at noon
