Spring into action with student organizations at the involvement fair
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 13, 2023) — The Spring Involvement Fair will be from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, in the Gatton Student Center Grand Ballroom. The fair gives all students a chance to learn of new and exciting opportunities for them on campus.
Each different student organization will have a booth manned by its members who are available to discuss the missions of their student organizations, their goals, or just to answer any questions prospective members may have. Involvement advisors will also be in attendance at the event for guidance and support.
“Be open to looking at every organization that interests you!” said senior Involvement Advisor Johnny Zelenak. “But also, don’t feel like you have to join multiple; having nearly 600 organizations on campus is overwhelming. Find one that sparks your interest and give it a try!”
It’s important to remember it is never too late to get involved. There are plenty of opportunities for under and upperclassmen, even graduate students.
“Involvement means community,” said Zelenak. “Finding others that have the same passions, the same interests, and the same care for a particular topic makes you feel connected.”
Attending the fair does not require registration, but for more information, visit this link.
