LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 15, 2026) — A first-of-its-kind program at the University of Kentucky has a prominent place on Kentucky football jerseys this season.

Last month, UK announced a groundbreaking partnership to elevate storytelling around UK Invests, a financial wellness program that helps UK students learn about — and practice — healthy saving and investing habits.

In this “UK at the Half,” listen to UK Associate Vice President for Partnerships Heath Price and Associate Vice President for Student Financial Stability Paul McKinney discuss the significance of UK Invests and what it means not just for UK, but the entire Commonwealth. The segment aired Sept. 12. during the Wildcats’ Southeastern Conference opener against the University of Alabama.

“UK at the Half” airs during halftime of each UK football and basketball game broadcast on radio and is hosted by UK Marketing Strategic Communication. Click on the play button above to hear the “UK at the Half” segment.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and healthcare. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $1.02 billion research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
