Mathies' 21 Leads Kentucky to 84-72 Win Over Arkansas
A'dia Mathies scored 21 points and had six assists as No. 11 Kentucky used a late surge to beat Arkansas 84-72 on Thursday night. Mathies started the game strong, scoring 14 points in the first eight minutes for the Wildcats (13-2, 2-0). Arkansas then found a way to shut her down, forcing her to miss her next eight shots over a 20-minute span. The Razorbacks (11-3, 0-2) trailed by as many as 15 in the first half but used strong shooting to take their first lead, 46-44, with 16:18 left in the game on Dominique Robinson's 3-pointer.
