Led by a balanced team effort with three players notching double-figure kills and the middle blockers contributing on all nine blocks in the match, the 13th-ranked Kentucky volleyball team outlasted visiting Alabama, 3-1 (25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22) in its home Southeastern Conference opener on Friday in front of 1,663 fans in Memorial Coliseum.
