LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 16, 2024) — As is tradition, this year’s College Business Management Institute (CBMI) conference will be hosted on the University of Ketucky’s campus, an ideal setting for learning and networking, during the week of July 21-26. Beyond the 73 courses offered by UK’s esteemed faculty, attendees will interact during this year’s unique networking events, such as Monday’s Casino Night-themed reception and mocktail Happy Hour.

The CBMI 2024 conference has received a record-breaking number of registrations, with more than 800 attendees participating, making this year’s networking opportunities even more exciting and impactful. In addition to attendees, 57 faculty members, 13 of whom are brand new to CBMI, will bring new insights and experiences to UK.

There are more than 100 UK employees registered for CBMI 2024 and about 150 attendees coming from across Kentucky. Attendees will easily be able to meet and connect with colleagues and make new connections through the CBMI mobile app.

Registration for the 2025 conference opens in early April 2025. Early registration is encouraged, as the program is expected to continue to grow.

This event is organized by a small team of five staff members supported by a group of about 20 volunteers and students who are all dedicated to the quality and growth of this nationally recognized professional development opportunity.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.

In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
