Clark County UK Alumni Welcome Wilbur Hackett

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 9, 2016) — The Clark County UK Alumni Club hosts its annual fall dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Winchester Country Club, 400 Boone Ave.

The special guest for this year’s dinner will be UK alumnus and former Kentucky football player Wilbur Hackett Jr. Hackett, a member of the UK football team from 1967-1970, was the first African-American team captain in Southeastern Conference history. The Clark County native went on to officiate SEC football games for 13 seasons, was inducted into the UK Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009 and the Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.
