The Color Kentucky Healthy raffle returns for UK employees across the state
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 26, 2026) – The Color Kentucky Healthy Raffle continues in the new year to support employee well-being through creativity and collaboration. University of Kentucky employees can enter to win a giant poster for their team to encourage short mental breaks, relax after the holiday hustle and focus on the new year.
Since launching, Color Kentucky Healthy has made a meaningful impact across campus and the community. In 2025 alone, 109 coloring posters have been distributed through Student Success, Wellness Champions and the Healthy Kentucky Initiative, reaching UK students, staff and community members. One highlight included Student Success hosting a March Madness-style bracket between residence halls, using the coloring sheets as a fun way to encourage participation and connection.
Beginning this year, the initiative is expanding to include further distribution statewide through UK King’s Daughters, UK St. Claire and UK Cooperative Extension Services. Two new 2026 designs featuring Kentucky lake and forest scenes have also been added, offering a fresh way to celebrate local landscapes and creativity.
Posters will continue to be raffled off each month to UK and UK HealthCare departments, helping teams bring creative wellness into their shared spaces. Starting this month, employees will have additional chances to win, as the posters raffled each month will increase from four to eight. All UK employees are eligible to enter for their department, and all it takes is a quick entry form. Winners will be notified via email.
Art therapy offers numerous benefits, including improved emotional and mental well-being through stress reduction, enhanced self-esteem, increased focus and mindfulness, and a more positive overall outlook. Even just a few minutes of coloring can help soothe the mind and activate parts of the brain associated with relaxation and problem-solving.
