Culture Fest 2014 is This Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 17, 2014) — The University of Kentucky International Student Council (ISC) is hosting Culture Fest 2014 5-9 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 18) in the Engineering Complex courtyard. Guests of this event can enjoy a showcase of a variety of cultures and their traditions, including performances by UK students and professional salsa dancers. ISC encourages participants to wear their favorite sports jersey to the event while they enjoy free food and experience UK's rich diversity.

"The idea of the Culture Fest is to bring the international student community in the Lexington area together and display their culture and values," said Omer Tariq, vice president of the ISC. "This year, we are having around 15 tables, each showcasing a different country. Also, we have performances representing all the continents (Africa, Asia, South America and North America)."
