"disABILITY" Exhibition Addresses Themes of Ability and Disability Through Art

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 26, 2019) – "disABILITY: An Exploration of Creative Expression Featuring Artists of All Ages & Abilities", an exhibition that addresses themes of ability and disability, inclusion and exclusion and the stigmas, advantages and disadvantages of physical and mental disabilities is now open at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center.

Sponsored by CREATE, a Lexington-based organization that promotes the ways the arts positively affect health and wellness, and in conjunction with UK's Arts in HealthCare program and the UK Human Development Institute (HDI), this exhibition demonstrates the human's ability to create, and features work by people of all ages and abilities. The exhibit opened last Friday with a reception during the LexArts Gallery Hop and runs through Oct. 26.
